Turkish Foreign Ministery Visit

TASC CoChair Dr Halil Mutlu had a very productive meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavuşoğlu and Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran in Ankara. During the meeting, Dr Mutlu summarized TASC projects which reach out to the US political leaders, media, and public. During this tense period between the two countries, TASC continues to express the Turkish community’s objectives, foreign policy concerns, and ways to improve the relations. TASC has now representatives in the many regions of the US, who communicate and educate the local leaders on issues related to Turkey and the Turkish community. TASC is the only all-inclusive US-wide organization that welcomes individuals regardless of their political and religious beliefs. TASC also performs social and charitable services that are needed by the community. TASC’s most important communication tool is TASC TV which broadcasts 24 hours a day and addresses many topics of concern to the community. TASC TV is followed by audiences in the US and Turkey. Dr. Mutlu stated that TASC was very happy to host the Foreign Minister and the Deputy Foreign Minister in Washington in the past and would be very honored to host them again in US in near future.
