TASC Stands Against Divisiveness in Virginia As the Turkish American National Steering Committee (TASC), alongside ATAA and ATA-DC, we have officially expressed our strong opposition to HJR458, a resolution in Virginia that promotes a one-sided historical narrative and fosters discrimination against Turkish Americans. HJR458 seeks to impose false historical accusations on Virginia’s citizens, targeting Turkish and Muslim Americans in educational institutions and communities. This resolution undermines reconciliation efforts between Türkiye and Armenia while violating the principles of justice and equality. We firmly request the Virginia House of Delegates to stand against hatred and extremism and instead promote peace and understanding without bias.
